Facilities
Three large rehearsal rooms available:
The Mantle Room, The Orchid and The Chamber. Practice for bands is available weekdays from 5.30 til late and all day and night on the weekends. These rooms are available for local community (quieter) activities during office hours on weekdays. Price is £30 for 4 hours or £7.50 per hour. We understand that when rehearsing during the week it can be tricky squeezing in practice time after work, therefore we will allow an extra hour at no charge during weekday evenings to allow for set up and packing up time.
Vision & Audio Recording:
For performers that would like their rehearsal recorded either audio alone or both audio and visual recording, we offer a service in which your practice is recorded and then burnt on to disc as an MP3 or MPEG-4 at the end of the practice. This will only cost £7.50 per recording of each single rehearsal and is a great way to review your performance to get you ready for your next big gig.
Recording Studio:
The Laboratory is located in The Mantle room, the main area in which recording takes place. Prices are competitive and available on request as recording can be tailored specifically to your needs.
Chill Out Area:
All rehearsal rooms are furnished with stylish sofas and tables to make your practice a comfortable one. The Mantle room in particular has its very own chill out area for those using the room for recording. Facilities in the chill out area include comfortable furnishings, wall mounted wide screen television and games console.
Storage:
For bands that like to practice with their own equipment but hate to lug it around, Northgate Studios offers a storage solution. Your equipment is safe with us as it will be stored with an asset registered tag system and covered by full insurance. Prices available on request.
Equipment:
At Northgate we can provide you with equipment such as PA, mics and drums for no extra charge. You will also have access to on call guitar techs and a spares service for those tricky moments when your strings snap or should any other musical mishap occur. Other Facilities:
Include Free Parking, Shower, kitchen (located in The Mantle room) with coffee machine, kettle and microwave, notice board for band advertising and toilets + showers within the building. There is also a goods elevator for heavy equipment.
